BARBARA WILLIAMS
"After living in the Intermountain West for fifty-five
years, I have a deep appreciation for rural life and the
mystique of the American West. Photography has been
a hobby of mine for 35 years. I love to work with intense
color. Many of my photos are Idaho subjects as well as
other Western themes. I enjoyed working for and
receiving a certificate in Fiction Writing from the early
day so of The Famous Writers School. Later I earned a
degree in Literature from Boise State University, and as
a result I have two novels and a travel guide in print. I
often use scenes I have photographed for background
and location in my novels. Several photos have won
awards at the Western Idaho Fair. Literature, writing,
and photography all work nicely together. There is a
great deal of satisfaction in producing photographs
others enjoy."
Barbara Williams will be showing at Deja Brew Laugh a

HOLLY BADKE
Holly Badke’s paintings speak from her life experience.
She paints images of places, people, and animals she
has encountered on world travels with her husband.
She has been a member of the Idaho Watercolor
Society which provides her the opportunity to study
with outstanding artists from around the United States.
Holly is also grateful to the late Will Nelson for the
many techniques she has learned in his art classes.
ZELLA BARDSLEY
Zella Bardsley's works in sculptural mixed metals and
mixed media are celebratory in theme. Her intent is to
convey that life is meant to be an adventure, filled with
the various emotions we are gifted with. Her work is
completed with an oxygen/acetylene torch, plasma
torch, and MIG welder. Her current work incorporates
mixed metals, perforated metals, stoneware, and other
mixed media for more texture and dimension.
DARLENE LAURSEN
"I love living in Idaho. Painting everything is
challenging and greatly enjoyable. Every painting is a
heartfelt reminder of someone, somewhere or
something I’ve had the joy of experiencing. My goal is
to spark a feeling within the viewer that will connect
them to the art."

SARA AYCOCK
Sara Aycock is a stay-at-home mother of three by day
and an artist by night (those close to her know she is a
night owl). She enjoys spending time outdoors,
especially in the forest, with her husband and children.
Sara has always felt a strong connection to nature, and
it is often the subject of her artwork. Sara uses her
artwork to express her thoughts and feelings: "As I
create art, it becomes part of who I am; as I share my
art, it becomes part of who you are."
JORDAN SCHWARTZ
Jordan Schwartz is a Meridian-based scherenscnitte
artist. All of her pieces are cut by hand from a single
sheet of black paper using only a straight blade Xacto
knife, creating intricate and high-contrast images. She
takes her inspiration from the beauty around our
gorgeous state, and uses that to push paper to its limits.
ARTROAMERS.COM
The ArtRoamers group showed up on the
streets of downtown Meridian last year,
seemingly out-of-the-blue. Their large-
scale animals will be placed around
Potter's Tea House again this year. They
won't be able to set up shop to feature
their other artists' work, but you can learn
more about all of the artists that make up
their group and see more artwork online.
