Roeder is listed as denied and the Windstone alignment is noted on the review. Vivid Sky is an
east/west orientation and Adilynn is a north/south orientation so I'd say no alignment.

J -U -B Project No. 10-18-023
SITE OVERVIEW
The Caven Ridge Estates East Subdivision No. 2 is located near the southeast intersection of
Victory and Meridian Roads and south of the Ridenbaugh Canal in the City of Meridian, Idaho.
The proposed development consists of 25 single family residential lots on approximately 6
acres.
EXISTING SITE CHARACTERISTICS
The project site presently consists of relatively flat agricultural land. The topography slopes
down -gradient to the north with grades generally less than 3%. The site is bounded by existing
single family residential development on all sides, with the Ridenbaugh Canal running through
the north end of the property.
DRAINAGE DESIGN CONCEPT
The proposed stormwater improvements include the construction of roadway curb & gutter, pipe
networks, stomrwater treatment systems, and storage facilities. The drainage area included
within these calculations encompasses a portion of the existing development located within
Caven Ridge Estates East Subdivision No. 1.
Onsite storm drainage will flow above grade to designed low points where it will be collected via
curb inlets and directed to a sand and grease trap for treatment. The stormwater will then
discharge into a sub -surface seepage bed for infiltration through a sand filter into the
groundwater network.
CALCULATION METHODS
The site was divided into catchment areas based on the proposed grading design. These
catchment areas were analyzed using the rational method to estimate the peak runoff rates in
accordance with the ACHD Policy Manual Sections 8000 and 8200.
Peak storage volumes were based on the 100 -year, 1 -hour design storm event of (0.96 inches
per hour.) Peak flow rates and stormwater quality flow rates were calculated for each basin
based on the 100 -year and 25 -year design storms, respectively. The time of concentration for
each basin was used as the design storm duration to calculate both the peak flow and
stormwater quality flow rates. Time of concentration values were calculated as a combination of
sheet flow from the lots to the road section and gutter flow along the road. Specific equations
are shown in the attached drainage calculations. The stormwater quality flow rate was used to
size the sand and grease traps.
The geotechnical report for the project provided a measured soil infiltration rate of 8 in/hr.
However, previous phases of development for this project encountered lower infiltration rates at
time of construction. Therefore, a lower infiltration rate of 1 in/hr was used for the design of the
seepage bed.
The catchment areas are shown on the Drainage Plan. Calculations are included with this
report for all catchment areas.
SOIL CONDITIONS
Based upon the preliminary soils and subsurface investigation for this subdivision, the existing
soils shall accept the runoff. Groundwater is anticipated at sufficient depth as to not impact the

stormwater facilities. However, in the event that during construction the contractor encounters
either groundwater or rock, a revised design may be prepared for field condition.
