The new diesel technology program required the addition for two main reasons: 1) provide space to work on diesel equipment and 2) provide overhead clearances to allow the lifting of large equipment. The simple form of the addition created a visual and functional identity for the new program. It was connected back to the remaining campus by using common materials already in use through -out the campus. Simple window elements were added to incorporate the use of natural light in both the new and existing spaces. Although simple and small this addition will ensure the new Diesel Technology Program will have all the "tools" to become a success and asset to MHS and its surround community.
