A geotechnical evaluation for the project site was performed by Materials Testing & Inspection, with
subsurface soil information summarized in their report dated March 26, 2012. Per the report,
groundwater was not encountered during excavation and high groundwater is anticipated to be at depths
greater than 15 -ft below the existing ground surface. Based on the information provided in the
geotechnical report, the roadway finish grade centerline elevations were designed to be more than 3 -ft
above the anticipated groundwater elevations.
