Harris Street, parcel No. 89577 in Meridian, Ada County, Idaho. The parcel is leased lot with an approximate .33 acre lot located in an R-8 Zone within the Graycliff Subdivision and is the site for the new municipal water well and associated pumping facility. The pumping facility is planned to be a single story, 800 SF building constructed with masonry block, stucco, wood trusses and architectural asphalt shingles. This facility will house the well head, liquid hypochlorite storage, and electrical / mechanical components to run the well pump. The new building will be situated near the southwest corner of the lot which will be fully landscaped with the pumping facility being fenced. The facility design was coordinated with and pre -approved by the developer and his architectural committee. Based on the Meridian City Water Department security requirements, I am also requesting approval for alternative compliance to install the standard 8 foot wrought -iron style security fencing around this facility. This is to ensure the health and safety of the public drinking water supply is not compromised by unauthorized personnel entering the site. Primary landscaping, including trees along Harris Street on the south side of the well lot will be installed by the developer of the Graycliff subdivision when the collector street is constructed.
