Stacy Arnold, and Caleb Hood 2. Adoption of the Agenda Prior to adoption of the agenda, Caleb Hood mentioned that parking passes for the front lot at City Hall were available. Quick introductions were also made. It was also noted that no deliberation or decisions would be made during this special meeting. Commissioner Hopkins motioned to adopt the agenda; second by Commissioner Knezacek — all ayes — motion carried. 3. New Business Items a. Planning Staff Overview of City Comprehensive Plan Update Mr. Hood gave an overview including some recent history on the need to create a new Comprehensive Plan for the City. The City is going to undertake a process to develop a new Comprehensive Plan for the City, pending Council funding and direction. Mr. Hood shared the transportation -related policies from the current Comprehensive Plan and mentioned that the TC would most likely be asked to be involved in at least the transportation -related components of the new Plan. City staff ran through a high-level outline for a new Plan, including potential sub -committees. It was mentioned that this process would most likely begin in earnest after the first of the year. (Commissioner Lancaster and Ex -Officio Member Bowen arrived during this agenda item) b. VRT Facilities Tour — Mobile Tour Begins at 1:15 pm From City Hall, the Commission took the Harvest Transit busses to Progress & Central, where everyone boarded a 40 -foot long VRT bus and continued on the VRT facilities tour (see tour agenda.) At 1:25 pm, Commissioner Lewis joined the tour at Progress & Central; Kelli Fairless and Stephen Hunt, both with VRT, also joined the tour here, as did Duane Wakan with COMPASS. COMPASS and VRT staff presented to the Commission throughout the tour. Questions were asked and answered. Ex -Officio Rhonda Jalbert, and Boise City Councilmember, Elaine Clegg, met the Commissioners and walked them through the Main Street Station. The tour continued to the Boise Airport, the Overland & Ten Mile Park & Ride Lot, and the Happy Day Transit Center. 4. Adjourn The tour concluded at Meridian City Hall at 3:57 pm, with a motion to adjourn by Commissioner Hopkins, seconded by Commissioner Knezacelc — all ayes — motion carried.
