BY THE CITY COUNCIL: BIRD, BORTON, CAVENER,
MILAM, PALMER, LITTLE ROBERTS
A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MERIDIAN, ESTABLISHING THE REAPPOINTMENT OF J. SCOTT WALTERS TO
SEAT 1 OF THE MERIDIAN SOLID WASTE ADVISORY COMMISSION; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Meridian City Code § 2-6-1 establishes the Solid Waste Advisory
Commission, its members and terms of their appointments; and
WHEREAS; the Mayor and City Council for the City of Meridian wish to reappoint J.
Scott Walters to Seat 1 of the Meridian Solid Waste Advisory Commission with a term to expire
September 30, 2020; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Council of the City of Meridian deems the reappointment
of J. Scott Walters to Seat 1 of the Solid Waste Advisory Commission to be in the best interest of
the Meridian Solid Waste Advisory Commission and of the City of Meridian;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MERIDIAN CITY, IDAHO:
Section 1. That, pursuant to Meridian City Code § 2-6-3, J. Scott Walters is hereby
reappointed to Seat 1 of Meridian Solid Waste Advisory with a terns to expire. September 30, 2020;
Section 2. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its
adoption and approval.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Meridian, Idaho, this L_ day of
September, 2017.
