Please find attached a petition from the undersigned owners in the Turnberry Crossing Homeowner
Association ("Owners"). The final petition with additional signatures will be filed at the meeting
scheduled for this Application. The Owners have asked me to forward their petition and clarify
their request to the Commission regarding the application for Burlingame Subdivision (H-2017-
005) ("Application"), directly to the south of the Owners' properties in Turnberry.
The Application as presented outlines a project that should have positive impacts on the area as a
whole. The preliminary plat and Application includes two important details that the Owners feel
will be crucial to the successful development of Burlingame and its positive impact on the area as
a whole. Please consider these concerns when issuing approvals and throughout the planning
process.
First, we understand that the preliminary plat and Application represent that Burlingame will
consist of single-family residences. This is consistent with the Owners' neighborhood and
surrounding areas. The Owners would like approval of the Application to explicitly be conditioned
on it including only single-family residences, consistent with the preliminary plat and Application
and surrounding neighborhoods.
Second, the preliminary plat and Application represent that Burlingame construction access will
be on White Ash Drive (west of Black Cat), and Cherry Lane. The Owners are concerned that the
convenience of Turnberry roads and access might result in them being used for construction, in
particular O'Connor Avenue. The Owners would like approval of the Application to explicitly
require that construction access be exclusively through White Ash Drive and Cherry Lane.
Approval should also be conditioned on signage prohibiting construction traffic being placed on
O'Connor Avenue and at the entrance of Turnberry subdivision on Black Cat Road during the
construction process.
Thank you for considering these reasonable requests from a group of concerned neighbors and
landowners. They hope to see single family residences and restricted construction traffic flows
specified and required in all Burlingame approvals going forward.
Sincerely,
VIAL FOTHERINGHAM LLP
