HPC May 2017
Not a lot of activity this month.
The Meridian Library has been doing research in the newspaper collection for their
coming anniversary in the current building. J B’s requested a newspaper search for their
opening – nothing was in the Times that we were able to locate.
We are in need of some extra volunteers – Robbie will be out for probably at least 2
months to recover from his fall – Even if Linda takes one of his days each week it will
leaves 2 days a week that we are not open. I feel it is necessary that the collection is “at
hand” so to speak. Several groups use it fairly often – Darlene & Gary will be able to
give assistance after they return from vacation in early June.
We have answered questions about the tour with one of the Ada Co. HPC commission
members for an article for the Statesman about the tour. She & talked to both Hillary
and I about the tour. That same evening, she & her husband came to Meridi an, walked
the tour & ate at one of the local restaurants. I believe that she was impressed with
both.
John Berg, Ripley, Doorn & Co. will do the filing of our Internal Revenue non-profit
report – Robbie is the current treasurer so that item will be covered by John.
