To who it may concern:
I will only be watching children from age 6 weeks thru age 4/5 that are not in kindergarten, therefore my
space is more than adequate to watch up to 12 children in the square footage I have, with an assistant.
As per the fire department rules for capacity, I divide my square footage that I am using which is 1066,
by 35, which comes out to watch 30.45 children in my space, (which I am only applying for the small
group home daycare up to twelve children) If I use the calculations according to Mr. Kenny
Bowers in the Fire Department in City Hall you can see I have adequate space for more than twelve
children, but I am only requesting to watch no more than twelve. I had in home pre school in California
and was allowed up to 14 children, with similar space, with an assistant, and the space was plenty. The
options from Health and Welfare is 1-6 children, 7-12, and 25 +. I have paid the fee to be licensed for
small group home which allows 1-12 children, staying within these numbers at all times. While my home
is over 2600 sq. ft, I will only use, and access rooms downstairs for child care purposes, which include
3 large rooms, a bathroom and a kitchen with access to outside play area. Thank you for considering
my request, so I can help families that are requesting childcare in the fall. Feel free to call and ask any
questions you may have. I have been in this business over 30 years, and I am confident in the care, and
teaching I provide for children.

Proposed project
I Dionna Franklin, am applying for a Conditional Use Permit to be able to run an
in home preschool program in my home. I am applying for the small group facility to be
able to watch up to 12 children in my home at 4657 N. Price Ave. Meridian, Id 83646.
My days, and hours will be Monday thru Friday 7:30a -5:30p, with major holidays closed,
and vacation time. Parents will drop off from 7:30a to 10:30a, and pick up by 5:30p,
unless prior arrangements have been made. The property is located in Amber Creek
Subdivision No.2, Lot 5 in block 5, according to the plat thereof, filed in Book 108 of
Plats at pages 15167 through 15170. (Records of Ada County)
I will use the first floor of my home for my business, which is 1066 SQ FT of my
home. It includes a family room, living room, kitchen, bathroom, and large den/office
room. The second floor is my families personal space, and work area which includes
our four bedrooms, laundry room and two bathrooms. I have a large backyard which is
fully enclosed by 6 ft cedar fencing on sides, and 4 ft in rear, which will be getting a 2 ft
extension added to it, along with large trees and hedges which will be planted along the
full back fence area. The back yard has grass, with a large covered patio area for
shade. I have outdoor toys, cars and items to keep the kids occupied and happy.

COMMITMENT OF PROPERTY POSTING
