MVHS Drainage letterMeridian Planning Division Attn: Mr. Bill Parsons 33 E Broadway Ave. Suite 102 Meridian, Idaho 83642 March 20, 2017 Subject: Grading and Drainage Conformance Letter Mountain View High School Baseball Hitting Facility Mr. Parsons, CHIM 322 East Front Street Suite 200 Boise, Idaho 83 702 This is a conformance letter intended to satisfy the City of Meridian grading and drainage requirements for a new baseball hitting facility located at Mountain View High School. This new proposed structure is an addition to an existing development at the Mountain View High School baseball/softball complex. Mountain View High School is planning on constructing a 2x4 wood frame and steel -sided structure to support the high school baseball and softball programs. The dimensions of the structure will be 42 feet by 120 feet or 5040 square feet. The proposed location of the structure is identified on the Site Plan attached. Site grading will be performed in an existing pervious grass -filled area and not create or contribute to flooding, erosion, or negatively impact storm water collection. Drainage will be designed to slope away from the structure on all sides into grass -filled areas. The south side of the structure will contain either a grass -filled or gravel strip approximately 3 feet wide by 120 feet in length that will catch and support stormwater runoff from reaching the impervious asphalt covered walkway. Refer to the drainage areas identified on the Site Plan. This proposed structure will not impose any changes to the existing historic drainage patterns. Additionally, the new proposed structure will not create or contribute to the generation or disposal of storm water in the impervious asphalt -paved parking lot located approximately 60 feet from the southeast corner of the proposed structure.
