Dear Commissioners:
On behalf of Giza Development please accept this request, not to continue the upcoming hearing. We
have tried from the very beginning to resolve the issue, as to whether or not Hickory Street should be
extended through this property.
In our pre-application meeting, we discussed the extension of Hickory Street. City staff told us they
wanted the street connection however they would follow the direction of ACHD. We were asked to
follow up with ACHD, which we did. ACHD staff said they would not require Hickory Street to be
extended. This same finding can be found in ACHD’s current staff report for this project.
The staff’s request for this hearing to be continued and for the site plan to be revised to extend
Hickory Street into the Greenhill Estates neighborhood will cause us, not to be incompliance
with ACHD’s requirements. This action will also upset of the Greenhill Neighborhood, which
stated clearly less than a year ago on another application on this same property that they did not
want a connection of Hickory Street to Magic View Drive.
