It is located on the West side of N. Meridian Road between W. Ustick and W. McMillan Roads. The White Drain is along the south boundary of this subdivision. Lately the site has been used for farming. A crop of winter wheat was harvested this summer. The site historically drains from East to Southwest and ultimately to the White Drain along the south boundary. The site is irrigated from an existing concrete ditch located along N. Meridian Road. The wastewater from this ditch overflows to the White Drain as well. Even though the site historically drains to the White Drain, all of the post -development stormwater runoff will be retained on site. The contributing area of the stormwater runoff will consist of the front half of each lot adjacent to the street and the entire right of way area of the streets to be constructed with the subdivision. Where a lot is next to a common lot adjacent to a street, only the first 10 feet of the lot will drain to the adjacent side street. The following calculations will size the drainage facilities required for this site. These calculations are prepared in accordance with the current edition of the Ada County Highway District's Stormwater Policy Manual. The calculations will use the Rational Method of determining peak stormwater flows and the corresponding volume of stormwater to retain on site. The time of concentration for these calculations will be determined by the TR -55 method and will be the total travel time from the farthest portion of the drainage area to the catch basin. This travel time will consist of overland sheet flow through the grass from the middle of the lot to the curb and gutter. Once in the gutter, the travel time will be shallow concentrated flow to the catch basin. The calculations are shown on the following sheets and are checked using the ACHD's Policy stormwater Design Spreadsheet. A soils report prepared by Bob J. Arnold, P.E. of 51TE Consulting, LLC was used in preparing these calculations. The report provides a description of the site soils, a percolation rate for the free draining soils and the seasonally high groundwater depth. A copy of this report is submitted with these calculations. The test pit and monitor well locations with elevations are shown on the site map included with these calculations. The site map included in these calculations shows the site is separated into 3 areas: Area 1 consists of the east end of Yosemite Dr. between phase 1 and Elsinore St. Area 2 consists of the rest of Yosemite Dr. and the portion of Price Ave. south of W. Fallen Leaf Dr. Area 3 is very small and consists of W. Fallen Leaf Dr. and the intersection of Price Ave. and Fallen Leaf. In all areas; the stormwater will be conveyed to catch basins via curb and gutter. Once collected, the stormwater will be pre-treated in an appropriately sized sand and grease trap and then retained on site in a subsurface seepage trench.
