Located on the future E. Hill Park St and adjacent to the new Hillsdale Elementary School and future YMCA, Hillsdale Neighborhood Park is to be constructed on approximately 9.5 acres between the future E. Hill Park St to the north and E. Highlander Dr. to the south. The park is just west of S. Howry Ln. The main park access will be off E. Hill Park St. and the new YMCA parking lot. Secondary access will be of E. Highlander Dr. and the existing school parking lot. Russ Phillips + Dana Kauffman September 26, 2016 Meridian Parks & Recreation Hillsdale Neighborhood Park Restroom / Shade Structure Architectural Narrative The restroom and shade structures are of a pedestrian scale to match the park setting. The restroom building and the shade structure will be built from long lasting materials that will keep their beauty over time. The restroom building structure will be constructed from concrete masonry units with a metal roofing system that has a rustic steel look. The soffit will be a perforated metal soffit. The CMU on the building will have both split and ground face as noted on the drawings. The two shade structures will be separate structures from the restroom. The roof structure will have a clerestory gable roof design with a galvalume finish. The freestanding structural steel columns will be wrapped in the same ground face CMU as the restrooms. The exposed steel framing will have a brown paint color finish. The building lighting will complement the building design and provide a well -lighted area without over lighting the area. Stephen M.
