NOTICE OF AWARENESS IS HEREBY GIVEN that members of the
Meridian City Council, Meridian Planning & Zoning Commission, Meridian Parks
& Recreation Commission, Western Ada Recreation District and Meridian
Development Corporation will tour the Meridian Pathway System on Thursday,
September 25, 2008 at 6:00 P.M. These members will meet at the Tully Park
located at 2500 North Linder Road to tour the Pathway System of the City of
Meridian. This is not a meeting or workshop. The public is welcome to inquire
about the tour by contacting the Meridian Parks Department at 888-3579.

The Meridian Parks & Recreation Commission is a volunteer citizens' group that is created and
empowered to advise the City on issues relating to park facilities and recreation programs of the City.
Their mission is to gather input from staff and other qualified personnel on issues relating to the
creation and design of public parks and open spaces; to listen to public input; and to provide advice
and recommendations on parks and recreation related matters to the Mayor and City Council.

The Meridian Parks & Recreotion Commission is a volunteer citizens' group that is created and

1. Roll Call:
Commission President John Nesmith called the tour to order at 6:07 p.m. Roll call
was taken as follows:

Others present were: Councilman David Zaremba, Councilman Brad Hoaglun, MPR
Director Steve Siddoway, MPR Parks Superintendent Elroy Huff, MPR Administrative
Secretary Rachel Myers, and Associate Planner Matthew Ellsworth.
2. New Business:
a. Pathways Tour
Listed below are the pathway sites that were visited by van and/or on foot and are
identified and described in detail in the Meridian Pathways Master Plan:
• Bud Porter Pathway at 8th Street Park.
• South Slough Pathway - Segment A (north side) located in the Clearbrook
Subdivision.
• Fothergill to Settlers Creek Pathway Connection.
• Five Mile Creek Pathway - Segment G (Tier 1).
• Five Mile Creek Pathway - Segment H (Tier 2).
• Five Mile Creek Pathway - Segment F (Tier 1).

Bruce MacCoy moved to adjourn the tour; Tom LeClaire seconded. Vote in favor of
the motion was unanimous. There being no further business, the Pathways Tour was
adjourned at 8:02 p.m.
