2007-06-13 PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION REGULAR MEETING WEDNESDAY, NNE 13, 2007 AT 7:OOPM Meridian City Hall Council Chambers Idaho Statement of Purpose and Authority: The Parks and Recreation Commission for the City of Meridian is a volunteer citizen's group that is created and empowered to advise the city on issues relating to the park facilities and recreation programs of the City. Their mission is to gather input from staff and other qualified personnel on issues relating to the creation and design of public parks and open spaces; to listen to public input; and to provide advice and recommendations on parks and recreation related matters to the Mayor and City Council. COMMISSIONIER SUBCOMMITTEE ASSIGNMENTS -DISCUSSED Bruce MacCoy will assign commissioners to serve on the commissions subcommittees. IX. COMMISSION'S ANNUAL PARK TOUR - APPROVED/SETTLER'S PARK Bruce MacCoy will discuss the annual park tour to be held in August in place of our regularly scheduled meeting. X. COMMITTEES: Committee Meetings will be held monthly immediately following the week of our commission meeting at the Parks & Recreation Department from 7-8pm. A.
