Broadway, Meridian, Idaho Roll -call Attendance: X Blaine Johnston — Chair X Dr. Frank Thomason — Vice Chair O Rich Nesbit X Woody Garvey X Dr. Tom Hammond O Joely Walters X Ex -Officio Councilman Joe Borton Adoption of the Agenda: Motion made to adopt the agenda and continued Items 3 and 6 to November 20, 2014 by Dr. F. Thomason; seconded by Dr. T. Hammond. All ayes — agenda adopted — No further discussion. 3. Approval of the September 11, 2014 Meeting Minutes: Continued to November 20, 2014 4. Approval of the Monthly Financial Statement: Motion made to approve the financial statement as presented by Dr. F. Thomason; seconded by Dr. T. Hammond. All ayes — No further discussion. 5. Historical Society and History Center Update by Lila Hill: Lila Hill presented. A copy of the written report is on file. 6. Old Business a. Professional Development Class Update by Commissioner Nesbit: Continued to November 20, 2014 b. Walking Tour Update: Jacy Jones updated the Commission. Copy of materials presented on file. New Business a. Discussion of the Draft Annual Report: J. Jones presented a draft Annual Report. The final report is scheduled to be approved on November 20, 2014. b. Discussion on Establishing an Old Town Development District by Commissioner Garvey: Commissioner Garvey presented his recommendations to the Commission regarding establishing a Historic District in Meridian. Rules and requirements for a Historic District will be researched. Commission will invite SHPO and MDC to the December meeting to discuss how agencies may partner to achieve this goal. 8. Discussion of Upcoming Projects for 2014 and Public Outreach 9. Next Meeting: Thursday, November 20, 2014 in the City Clerk's Conference Room a.
