Action Items Land Use Public Hearing Process: After the Public Hearing is opened the staff report will be presented by the assigned City planner. Following Staff’s report the applicant has up to 15 minutes to present their application. The applicant is then allowed 10 additional minutes to respond to the public’s comments. No additional public testimony is taken once the public hearing is closed. The City Council may move to continue the item for additional information or vote to approve or deny the item with or without changes as presented. The Mayor is not a member of the City Council and pursuant to Idaho Code does not vote on public hearing items, unless to break a tie vote. A. Public Hearing for THIRD READING: Ordinance No. 16 -1709: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 4, CHAPTER 1, SECTION 8.B (1), MERIDIAN CITY CODE, COLLECTION OF SOLID WASTE AND RECYCLABLE MATERIALS TO CHANGE THE COLLECTION AT COMMERCIAL PREMISES TO COMMENCE AT FOUR O’CLOCK (4:00) A.M.; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
