On behave of Meridian Parks and Recreation Department; we are pleased to submit this CZC
application for the Reta Huskey Neighborhood Park. Located_ on W. Tubac Drive within the
Bellano Creek Subdivision, Reta Huskey Neighborhood Park is to be constructed on 8.9 acres
adjacent to Five Mile Creek and Ten Mile Road. The existing Creason Lateral running east/west
and north/south through the property will be tiled to increase the usability, safety and esthetics
of the park area. Park access will be off of W. Tubac Dr. Park amenities will include the
following:
• Interior parking lot containing 28 spaces (including 4 accessible)
• Restroom/Shelter Facility
• Site Furnishings (Bike Racks, Benches, Picnic Tables, Drinking Fountain, Trash Receptacles)
• Three (3) Pickleball Courts
• One (1) Basketball Court
is 4500 sf Playground (all -ages)
is Adult fitness equipment
• 3 acres sport practice field
• 10' wide connection pathways
• 14' wide multi -use pathways running along east boundary and Five Mile Creek connecting
existing regional pathway system (In conjunction with NMID access road). To be
constructed by Coleman Homes per the Isola Creek Subdivision Development
Agreement.

Rete Huskey Neighborhood Park Restroom / Shade Structure
Architectural Narrative
The restroom / shade structure is of a pedestrian scale to match the park setting. The building structure
will be built from long lasting materials that will keep their beauty over time. The restroom building
structure will be constructed from concrete masonry units with a metal roofing system.
There will be a 2 colors of split block with a horizontal band of ground face with stone veneer accent on
the corners. The accent corners will project to give a bit of relief from the CMU walls.
The shade structure will be attached to the restroom with the roof at a higher elevation to give some
relief in the roof ridgeline. The freestanding steel columns with be wrapped in stone veneer.
The roofing for both structures will be a brick red metal roof with a metal fascia and soffit.
The building lighting will complement the building design and provide a well -lighted area without over
lighting the area.
