Dear Mr. Stucker:
Mayor Tammy de Weerd
City Council Members:
Keith Bird Joe Borton
Luke Cavener Genesis Milam
Ty Palmer Anne Little Roberts
Thank you for your letter concerning the development of Stonesthrow Subdivision. I have
spoken with our Community Development Department and this subdivision is in the
development process so it has not yet been inspected by the City.
I wanted to let you know that the "choker" is part of the conditions of development for the
subdivision. Our Community Development staff have spoken with a representative of the
developer and confirmed they are aware of this requirement. Once the developer has completed
their process, an inspection will take place to ensure everything has been completed as required.
This inspection will take place prior to issuance of Certificate of Occupancy, and if any of the
conditions are not met at that time, that Certificate of Occupancy will not be issued.
Hopefully this answers your question, but if you would like any additional information
concerning this process or specific concerns you would like to address, please contact Sonya
Watters with our Community Development Department at 887-2211.
Sincerely,
Tarmnm de Weerd
Mayor

We had a meeting some months ago about the new subdivision going in East of
Crossroads, South of Wa1Mart off Fairview.
At that meeting the developer promised to put a "choker", (similar to the one coming into
Crossroads sub from Eagle Rd.), where the new sub, now under construction, meets the
Crossroads sub on E. Florence Dr. that agreement will be in the meeting minutes, and
was heard by approximately 30 Crossroads sub homeowners.
Traffic from that sub will affect the entirety of Crossroads as that connection between
subdivisions can and will be used to access Pine St, Eagle Rd., and Records Ave. through
all parts of Crossroads Subdivision from the new sub, and parts of the next new sub to the
east of it.
I talked to a gentleman at the trailer on the east end of the new Developement. He said he
had no knowledge of it, and no authority over it. So that cannot count as an official
notification. We need to get/give them some kind of notification that they must adhere to
their promises at the City Council Meeting. Their permission to do the development
were contingent upon these promises.
Please see that the agreements reached at the City Council Meeting are adhered to, the
City Council should not be ignored at a developers whim.
