I came up with an idea for a coloring book that I wanted to pass your way. I think we should develop a Meridian Coloring Book. It could tell our history, and also include facts such as public works stuff, parks, and art pieces. I think it could be something that all of the commissions put together. Each commission could get four pages or so — to tell something about their role in the City — an education piece. We could hand it out at tours, at schools, at HOA meetings, events, parades ... the possibilities are endless and it's great branding/marketing for the City and commissions- not to mention a great education piece. The Mayor loves the idea but says the commissions should get sponsors (should be pretty easy — logos on the book that would be seen by TONS of people). Thoughts? I can help with this project! You deserve thousands of personal emails expressing appreciation for your wonderful series. I am honored to be affiliated with your excellent Arts Commission and the exciting, thriving City of Meridian. We love working with Leslie and the Meridian Symphony String section folks. Everyone with whom I interacted was so upbeat, clear, helpful and professional. We had a marvelous time during the concert. Thank you so much for making this opportunity possible for us and ensuring that it was truly enjoyable for everyone! Please pass on my gratitude to the Commission and city officials.
