Dear Mayor and Council:
Elam and Burke represents Treasure Valley Investments, LLC ("Treasure Valley")
concerning its property holdings along Ten Mile Road and Interstate 84, which are included
within the boundaries of the revenue allocation area under consideration for the Ten Mile Road
urban renewal plan (the "Plan").
Based on the modifications to the Plan approved by the Meridian Development
Corporation ("MDC") in Resolution No. 16-019, adopted and passed on May 10, 2016, which
modifications were incorporated into the Plan, and specifically included reference to the
potential for reimbursement of irrigation and drainage facility improvements to the Kennedy
Lateral, intersection and signal improvements to the intersection at Ten Mile and Franklin Road,
and other frontage road improvements, Treasure Valley is in support of the Plan, as modified.
A definitive statement concerning the public improvements involving the Treasure Valley
parcels is extremely important, as entities such as developers, appraisers, and underwriters will
be expecting a clear description of these potential public improvements in the Plan.
The Plan as currently before the Meridian City Council resolved Treasure Valley's
concerns, and Treasure Valley greatly appreciates and supports the work of MDC and the City in
the creation of this Plan.
