ART FESTIVAL SUBCOMMITTEE MEETING • AGENDA

2. Adoption of the Agenda
Motion by Ellen and second by Cheyenne to adopt the agenda; all ayes — motion carried.
3. 2016 Art Festival — Art by the Barn
a. Event Planning Discussion
Commissioners recommended changing the name to Dairy Days Art Show to
remain more in line with the Dairy Board's event. Hillary will ask permission to use
Dairy Days in the title. Time of the art show: I I a.m. — 8 p.m.
Ellen says she already has about ten interested artists. Hillary and commissioners can
distribute applications at will, once updated. Mary recommended that Hillary reach
out to Shelly Houston in Parks for a list of some of her vendors. Cheyenne asked if
youth vendors could participate also, "yes," by all.
Ellen and Hillary to follow up with Dairy Board with a budget to request funds as
well as logistics questions regarding parking and use of the road that food vendors
will be stationed on. Hillary will prepare a broken down budget.
b. Application and Acknowledgements Review
Changes include: noting that there will be no booth fee and making Ellen the contact.
c. Volunteer Recruitment and Coordination

Cheyenne will reach out to coordinate vendors for her youth component, may be
able to get some to help with load in, take down, and clean up as well.
Subcommittee agreed that MAC commissioners should each try to be there for an
hour and half. Hillary will make a sign-up sheet to distribute at the next MAC
meeting.
d. Youth Component(s)
Cheyenne volunteered to coordinate this component, decided to incorporate a
youth/kids painting area, painting rocks and maybe having some painting lessons
throughout the day.
