MPAL Programs
Flag Football—spring & fall seasons~1,500/year
Soccer—spring & fall seasons~2,800/year
Baseball—spring only~700/year
Karate—partnership with local vendor
Basketball—proposed late spring
(May-June)
Camps—various camps offered by each sport throughout the year

Basketball Program
MPAL is developing a 3 on 3 basketball program to offer area youth an opportunity in the late spring (May-June)
Program design and management as existing programs
Additional camps and
tournaments will likely be offered throughout the summer
A proposed partnership with Meridian Parks & Rec at Heroes Park is paramount to success

Basketball Program
MPAL 3 on 3 Basketball is projected to have 200-300 participants based on previous first year programs & MPAL Survey results
Basketball fees would include a $10 per player fee to provide
an additional $2-3k per year to pay down the existing debt at Heroes Park
Future growth of this program could reach 500 players

Other opportunities
An outdoor basketball facility provides an opportunity for other programs
Adult 3 on 3 league (either MPR or MPAL)
Youth camps
3 on 3 tournaments
Possible partnerships with Boys & Girls
Club or other youth organization

Survey Results
50% of survey respondents said they would participate in MPAL 3v3 Basketball
55% of families surveyed will have 2 or more children interested in participating
*341 surveys completed

I think this is a great idea. 3 on 3 is a great way to build skills at the younger levels.
I would definitely have my sons participate in this program and be willing
to coach as well. Thanks.
We would love to see a good basketball program that would include children age 6 and up.

Conclusion
A partnership between MPAL & MPR would greatly benefit the youth of Meridian
A 3 on 3 basketball program would be the only league of its kind for youth in the area
The courts would add
value and create new opportunities not currently available
Future revenue generated by this program will accelerate MPAL’s ability to complete our commitment to the Heroes Park project
