BY THE CITY COUNCIL: BIRD, HOAGLUN, ROUNTREE, ZAREMBA
A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MERIDIAN REAPPOINTING MATTHEW J. STOLL TO SEAT 7 AND KENT
GOLDTHORPE TO SEAT 8 OF THE MERIDIAN PARKS AND RECREATION
COMMISSION, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Meridian City Code Title 2, Chapter 2 establishes the Meridian Parks
and Recreation Commission, its members and terms of their appointments; and
WHEREAS, Matthew J. Stoll was appointed in March of 2011 to Seat 7 with a term to
expire on October 31, 2012 and Kent Goldthorpe was appointed in August of 2012 to Seat 8 with
a term to expire on October 31, 2012;
WHEREAS, Matthew J. Stoll may be reappointed to Seat 7 to a term of 3 years to expire
October 31, 2015, and Kent Goldthorpe may be reappointed to Seat 8 to a term of 3 years to
expire October 31, 2015;
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Meridian deems it to be in the best interest
of the citizens of the City of Meridian to approve the respective reappointment of Commissioners
Matthew J. Stoll and Kent Goldthorpe as recommended by Mayor De Weerd and described
herein;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MERIDIAN CITY, IDAHO:
Section 1. That, effective immediately, Matthew J. Stoll shall be reappointed to Seat 7 of
the Meridian Parks and Recreation Commission, which term shall rum through October 31, 2015.
Section 2. That, effective immediately, Kent Goldthorpe shall be reappointed to Seat 8
of the Meridian Parks and Recreation Commission, which term shall run through October 31,
2015.
Section 3. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its
adoption and approval.
