BY THE CITY COUNCIL: BIRD, ROUNTREE, ZAREMBA
A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MERIDIAN REAPPOINTING JOHN NESMITH TO SEAT 3, CREG STEELE TO SEAT
4, AND TOM LECLAIRE TO SEAT 5 OF THE MERIDIAN PARKS COMMISSION;
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Meridian City Code Title 2, Chapter 2 establishes the Meridian Parks
Commission, its members and terms of their appointments; and
WHEREAS, John Nesmith was appointed in September of 2007 to Seat 3 with a term to
expire in September of 2008 and Greg Steele was reappointed in September of 2007 to Seat 4 to
a term that will expire in September of 2008, and Tom LeClaire was appointed in September of
2007 to Seat 5 to expire on September of 2008;
WHEREAS, John Nesmith may be reappointed to Seat 3 to a term of 3 years to expire in
October of 2011, Creg Steele may be reappointed to Seat 4 to a term of 3 years to expire in
October of 2011, Tom LeClaire may be reappointed to Seat 3 to a term of 3 years to expire in
October of 2011,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Meridian deems it to be in the best interest
of the citizens of the City of Meridian to approve the respective reappointment of Commissioners
John Nesmith, Creg Steele, and Tom LeClaire as recommended by Mayor De Weerd and
described herein;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MERIDIAN CITY, IDAHO:
Section 1. That, effective immediately, John Nesmith shall be reappointed to Seat 3 of
the Meridian Parks Commission, which term shall run through September of 2011.
Section 2. That, effective immediately, Creg Steele shall be reappointed to Seat 4 of the
Meridian Parks Commission, which term shall run through September of 2011.
Section 3. That, effective immediately, Tom LeClaire shall be reappointed to Seat 5 of
the Meridian Parks Commission, which term shall run through September of 2011
Section 4. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its
adoption and approval.
