RESOLUTION N0. 48
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE GRANTING OF AN EASEMENT FOR INGRESS AND EGRESS
OVER CERTAIN CITY PROPERTIES TO THE WESTERN ADA RECREATION DISTRICT, AND
AUTHORIZING THE GRANTING OF AN OPTION TO LEASE CERTAIN OTHER CITY PROPERTIES
TO THE WESTERN ADA RECREATION DISTRICT.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MERIDIAN,
ADA COUNTY, IDAHO:
WHEREAS, the City of Meridian, Ada County, Idaho, has determined that
there is a severe shortage of municipal recreation facilities for the resi-
dents of said City, and
WHEREAS, the City wishes to improve the recreation facilities and
environmental quality of the City and surrounding area, and
WHEREAS, the Western Ada Recreation District is a political subdivision
of the State of Idaho, including within its boundaries the City of Meridian
and adjacent territories, and is now planning to construct a swimming pool
and other recreational facilities within the limits of the City of Meridian,
and
WHEREAS, the proposed location of such swimming pool will require an
easement for ingress and egress over property owned by the City
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City of Meridian, Ada County, Idaho,
that Wayne D. Skiver, Acting City Clerk, be empowered to execute a Grant of
Easement to said District, a copy of which is attached hereto and marked
Exhibit "l", and further empowered to execute an Option to Lease with said
District, a copy of which is attached hereto and marked Exhibit "2".
ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Meridian, this 12th day of
June, 1972.
