BY THE CITY COUNCIL: BIRD, HOAGLUN, ROUNTREE, ZAREMBA
A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE INTENT OF THE CITY OF MERIDIAN TO
CONVEY TO THE ADA COUNTY HIGHWAY DISTRICT FOR RIGHT OF WAY
PURPOSES A PORTION OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1700 E.
LANARK STREET, MERIDIAN, IDAHO; INSTRUCTING THE CITY CLERK TO
ESTABLISH AND NOTICE A HEARING TO REVIEW THE PROPOSED
CONVEYANCE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, whenever the City Council proposes to convey any real property, Idaho
Code Section 50-1402 requires a declaration of the City Council setting forth the value or
minimum price, if any, it intends to receive as a result of such conveyance or exchange; and,
WHEREAS, the declaration may be in the form of an explanation of an intended
exchange or conveyance for other than monetary consideration; and,
WHEREAS, when it is determined by the City Council to be in the City's best interest
that a transfer or conveyance be made, the City Council may, pursuant to the procedure set forth
in Idaho Code Section 50-1403, authorize the transfer or conveyance of any real property owned
by the City to any tax supported governmental unit, with or without consideration; and,
WHEREAS, the Ada County Highway District has requested that the City Council of the
City of Meridian set a hearing to consider the transfer of certain real property from the City to
the District for right-of-way purposes; and,
WHEREAS, following the declaration of intent, the City Clerk shall publish a summary
of the action taken by the City Council and provide notice of a public hearing before the City
Council at least fourteen (14) days prior to the date of the hearing.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MERIDIAN, IDAHO:
Section 1. That it is hereby declared that the City of Meridian intends to convey to the
Ada County Highway District certain real property located at 1700 F. Lanark St., Meridian,
Idaho, to wit, portions of Ada County Parcel # S1108336013 as shown in attachment A of this
resolution.

Section 2. That the City of Meridian hereby declares its intention to convey the real
property without consideration because it is in the City's best interest that the Ada County
Highway District take ownership of the property for right-of-way purposes.
Section 3. That the City Clerk is hereby instructed to publish a summary for this
declaration of intent and establish a public hearing date to review the proposal to convey the real
property.
Section 4. That the City Attorney is hereby instructed to bring forth a proposed
Ordinance as required by Idaho Code Section 50-1403 for the consideration of the City Council
at the conclusion of the public hearing.
Section 5. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its
adoption and approval.

An easement located in the SW '/ of Section 8, Township 3 North, Range 1 East, Boise
Meridian, Ada County, Idaho, and more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at a brass cap monument marking the southwest corner of said SW 1/4, from which
a brass cap monument marking the northwest corner of said SW %4 bears N 0°26'11" E a
distance of 2650.93 feet;
Thence N 0°26'11" E along the westerly boundary of said SW % a distance of 735.27 feet to a
518 inch diameter iron pin marking the intersection of E. Lanark Street and N. Locust Grove
Road;
Thence S 89°33'53" E along the centerline of said E. Lanark Street a distance of 624.67 feet to
a point;
Thence leaving said centerline N 0027'36" E a distance of 29.00 feet to a 518 inch diameter iron
pin on the northerly right-of-way of said E. Lanark Street and the POINT OF BEGINNING;
Thence N 89°33'53" W along said northerly right-of-way a distance of 23.48 feet io a point;
Thence leaving said northerly right-of-way N 45°38'14" E a distance of 33.10 feet to a point on
the westerly right-of-way of N. Nola Road;
Thence N 0°27'36" E along said westerly right-of-way a distance of 117.51 feet to a point;
Thence leaving said right-of-way N 22036'54" W a distance of 9.80 feet to a point;
Thence a distance of 9.83 feet along the arc of a 23.00 foot radius curve left, said curve having
a central angle of 24029'02" and a long chord bearing N 34051'25" W a distance of 9.75 feet to a
point;
Thence a distance of 117.04 feet along the arc of a 55.5D foot radius curve right, said curve
having a -central angle of 120°49'52" and a long chord bearing N 13019'00" E a distance of
96.53 feet to a point;
Thence S 0027'36" W a distance of 12.19 feet to a 518 inch diameter iron pin on the westerly
right-of-way of said N. Nola Road;
Thence along said westerly right-of-way a distance of 85.07 feet along the arc of a 44.00 foot
radius curve left, said curve having a central angle of 10046'47" and a long chord bearing S
13045'00" W a distance of 72.43 feet to a 518 inch diameter iron pin;
Thence continuing along said westerly right-of-way a distance of 13.23 feet along the arc of a
18.00 foot radius curve right, said curve having a central angle of 42006'12" and a long chord
bearing S 20036'00" E a distance of 12.93 feet to a 518 inch diameter iron pin;
Thence continuing along said westerly right-of-way S 027'36" W a distance of 157.17 feet to
the POINT OF BEGINNING.
