Narrative Letter:
Please find the attached a Conditional Use Permit Application for the above mentioned project. The
project is located at 1827 NW 3rd St. Meridian Idaho. Parcel # 51201449305 and the Zone is R-8.
The project will consist of an existing facility totaling 4,984 sq. ft. used for the churches activates. The
owner's, General Council Churches of God 7d' Day, will be using this building only one week out of the
year for their annual camp meeting. The use will be an assembly type use, place of worship. The building
will be used for the churches annual classes, seminars and bible readings held 1" week of July.
The existing building is a pre-engineered metal building, with metal siding exterior sheeting for the walls
and metal siding exterior sheeting for the roof. The existing building does have overhead doors located
on the north and south side of the building. The building is cooled and heated by a swamp cooler and gas
fired unit heater.
The building is surrounded by existing grass / yard, with some trees and shrubs. The existing facility does
have a building to the south which is approx. 60 feet. The north, east and west is yard space well over 60
feet.
There is a dirt road that is close to the building, which has a few existing parking spaces.
We hope this project will be acceptable to the planning department. We feel that this facility is well away
from any existing structure, well hidden from view and will fit the needs of the owners for their annual
camp meetings.

Christy, we are required to fill out a CUP application for the City of Meridian for this project. The church built this
building back in the late 90's it had a roof over it with walls, but they occupied the building and used it without getting
the accurate permits.
The building is going to be used as a church type function, however they are only using this building one week out of the
year. It's going to be used during their annual camp meeting. This building is NOT generating any additional people it's
just used during their camp for bible readings.

year for their annual church camp. The building will be used for church services only one week out
of the year. The address of the site is: 1827 NW 3rd Street in Meridian Idaho. This is an existing
building and is the most northerly building located on the site. The City of Meridian is requiring a
Conditional Use Permit for the use of this building as a church.
The City of Meridian also requires an opportunity for a meeting between the applicant and the
residents or land owners of the neighborhood in which the development site is located.
This letter is a notice of opportunity to review and discuss the proposed project. This is not a public
hearing; public officials will not be present. If you have any questions for the City of Meridian with
regard to the City of Meridian neighborhood meeting requirement, please contact the City of

COMMITMENT OF PROPERTY POSTING
Per Unified Development Code (UDC) 11 -5A -5D, the applicant for all applications requiring a
public hearing (except for a UDC text amendment, a Comprehensive Plan text amendment
