BY THE CITY COUNCIL: BIRD, BORTON, CAVENER,
MILAM, PALMER, LITTLE ROBERTS
A RESOLUTION ADOPTING WATER AND WASTEWATER ASSESSMENT FEES;
AUTHORIZING THE MERIDIAN PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT TO COLLECT SUCH
ASSESSMENT FEES; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, following publication of notice according to the requirements of Idaho Code §
63-1311A, on February 16, 2016, the City Council of Meridian held a hearing on the adoption of the
proposed water and wastewater assessment fees; and
WHEREAS, following such hearing, the City Council, by formal motion, did approve said
proposed water and wastewater assessment fees as follows:
WATER ASSESSMENT FEE
One-time increase of $179 to $1973 effective June 1, 2016
WASTEWATER ASSESSMENT FEE
1St phase increase of $229 to $3654 effective June 1, 2016
2nd phase increase of $230 to $3884 effective June 1, 2017
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF MERIDIAN CITY, IDAHO:
Section 1. That the water and wastewater assessment fees as set forth, are hereby adopted:
WATER ASSESSMENT FEE
One-time increase of $179 to $1,973 effective June 1, 2016
WASTEWATER ASSESSMENT FEE
1st phase increase of $229 to $3,654 effective June 1, 2016
2nd phase increase of $230 to $3,884 effective June 1, 2017
Section 2. That the City of Meridian Public Works Department is hereby authorized to
implement and carry out the collection of said water and wastewater assessment fees.
