The purpose of the vacation request is to remove a portion of a platted easement to accommodate a
proposed building addition.
Based on a pre -application meeting it was identified the entities that would be affected by the easement
vacation request. Those entities identified have been contacted. The following agencies have either
addressed a written approval or we have received no response from the communication:
• Idaho Power
• Intermountain Gas
• CableOne
• Century Link

➢ Summary
The site is fully developed and this portion of the side lot line easement does not appear necessary to
maintain. By granting approval of the of the partial easement vacation, an addition to the existing
building may be completed in accordance with the City of Meridian Code.
Based on the information provided within this letter, and as shown on the information contained within
the application, we have not identified any negative impacts that would be caused by removing the
easement. On behalf of the applicant, as their agent, we respectfully request approval of the easement
vacation as shown within the application.

Situated in the Southwest Quarter of Section 9, Township 3 North, Range 1 East, Boise
Meridian, Ada County, Idaho.
Dear Mr. Crawford:
This is in response to the Relinquishment Application submitted to Idaho Power Company on
August t8, 2015, regarding the possible relinquishment of the Northerly 135' feet of the 5'
platted utility easement located along the common lot lines of Lots 3 & 4, Block 2 of the
Commerce Park Subdivision, as described in the Easement Vacation Description and as depicted
in the Easement Vacation Sketch.
Idaho Power's review of the relinquishment request indicated that there are no facilities with the
Utility Easement Area. As such, Idaho Power agrees to relinquish what easement rights are
found within the Utility Easement Area.

Mr. Curtis,
We have been required by the City of Meridian to contact the NMID to secure its approval for a
request to partially vacate an existing public utility easement.
The partial easement vacation request is located on a portion of a side lot line of a fully improved
commercial property which is known as the Jacksons Food Stores Headquarters. The site is fully
improved and the easement generally exists between two existing buildings which Jacksons wishes to
put an addition between its buildings. We are unaware of, and have not seen evidence of any NMID
facilities which may exist within this specific area.
However we are aware of Idaho Power facilities which exist south of the area requested for vacation.
The area which contains these facilities has not been included within the vacation of easement
request.
The specific area is limited to what has been shown on the attached maps and defined by the legal
description.
I have included the Idaho Power application as it has the specifics included for the project, which
include maps, parcel information and a overview photo of the project.
Please contact me with your determination as soon as possible.
