The short reason for this requirement is that when the easement is dedicated in this manner, the then has the opportunity to make sure that conditions for the easement are memorialized and recorded. Conditions such as what is and isn't allowed within the easement area, and the responsibilities for replacement of surface treatments in the event of needed excavations. The standard forms of easement are provided on our web site for your use. If this meets with your acceptance, can you please provide a response accepting the conditions as written. If you would like for the item to be removed from the consent agenda and have some discussion with the Council on this issue, please respond accordingly. One way or the other we will need your response by before 3:00 pm today to stay on the consent agenda.
