PZ - Public Testimony by Shirley Lovett - 6/3Date: May 24, 2015 To: Meridian Planning and Zoning Commission From: Mrs. Shirley Lovett, 1256 N. Legislative Way, Meridian, ID 83642 Subject: Proposed Four (4) plex units on AZ 15-005, Steve Arnold D-PCF,TVFD JUN 0 3 2015 CITYOFCWBRZurr CITY CLERKS OFFICE 1. Having several four (4) plex units being proposed by Mr. Steve Arnold on an acre seems like over -planning. There are several four (4) plex units being built around Meridian, and I can't understand the need for the amount Mr. Arnold is planning. 2. Having these units built next to two (2) subdivisions will affect the value of the properties closest to the property in question. 3. There are several widows and elderly people owning the homes closest to this property, as well as families with small children. 4. 1 don't think anyone objects to the development of this property, although I would prefer the pasture. Perhaps developing this property with storage units or single family homes could be an alternative to what is proposed. 5. Most of the homeowners on Florence Avenue object to the possible opening of the east end of the street. It will be dangerous for the small children living on that street, and it wtll increase the amount of traffic and constitute a "freeway access" to Wallmart and the light at Records and Fairview.
