To: Meridian Planning and Zoning commission,
We live at 1211 N Legislative Way, Meridian Idaho in Crossroads sub. This is to voice our
objection to the proposed development of Stonesthrow subdivision and the opening of Florence Street
into Crossroads subdivision. We have submitted pictures of the proposed site, and as you can see our
subdivision is all single family homes - - not houses! If you would - please picture in your mind, your own
home with a bunch of apartments, looking right down into your back yard. I think you would be against
this also. Not only are we all single family homes, but the subdivision to the south of the proposed site,
are also single family dwellings.
Now about opening Florence Street up to the thru traffic, that is a very bad idea. Steve Arnold
was heard laughing about 200 cars a day coming through our subdivision, it would be more like 300-400
cars a day. At 140 units and a family of three to five with some of them having two cars a family, plus all
traffic from the other subdivision to the south wanting to get to Walmart, The Village, Fairview Ave and
other places. It would create a very bad traffic hazard for the home owners and their children, I'll say it
again, CHILDREN!
In the subdivision to the south of said proposed site, they have a street, Driftwood that runs
from Cloverdale all the way to Crossroads Subdivision, but instead of pushing it through, they used
common sense and put a culdesac there as seen in the pictures. If this goes through, we pray it will not,
we would appreciate the same consideration.
Thank you for this opportunity to voice our concerns.
