14-1024 Appointing Cheyenne Quilter to MACCITY OF MERIDIAN RESOLUTION NO. 14-1024
BY THE CITY COUNCIL: BIRD, BORTON, CAVENER,
MILAM, ROUNTREE, ZAREMBA
A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MERIDIAN, APPOINTING CHEYENNE QUILTER AS A YOUTH COMMISSIONER TO
THE MERIDIAN ARTS COMMISSION; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Meridian City Code Title 2, Chapter 5 establishes the Meridian Arts
Commission, its members and terms of their appointments;
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Meridian recognizes and values the unique
perspective and input of the youth of the Meridian community as it pertains to At within the City,
and to that end Meridian City Code § 2-5-3(B) states that a youth member may be appointed to the
Meridian Arts Commission;
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Meridian deems the appointment of Cheyenne Quilter
to the Meridian Arts Commission to be in the best interest of the Meridian Arts Commission and
the City of Meridian;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MERIDIAN CITY, IDAHO:
Section 1. That, pursuant to Meridian City Code § 2-5-3(B), Cheyenne Quilter is hereby
appointed to the Meridian Arts Commission, for a term to expire on August 31, 2015.
Section 2. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its
adoption and approval.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Meridian, Idaho, this 14th day of October,
2014.
