Sonya,
Thank you for sending us a copy of the staff report. We are in support of the staff report and recommendations with the
exception of the issue related to street crossings. In the staff report it refers to ACAD requiring three HAWK crossings
and three sets of flashers. Actually ACHD is requiring one HAWK crossing and flashers at the intersection of Stoddard
and Kodiak and the HAWKS and flashers at Linder/Kodiak and Stoddard/Victory are recommended to be shared in the
cost and for the MSD to place those funds in a trust for future development if warranted by ACHD.
I've included a letter from the School District which requests that the ACHD requirement to place school bond money
into a trust to fund the future HAWKS and Flashers on Victory and on Linder be removed from the conditions of
approval. The school district has agreed to construct the HAWK and flashers at the Stoddard/ Kodiak intersection as part
of the project and the school district has also agreed to bus all students within the normally non -bussed 1.5 mile radius.
Thank you for taking our input and we will see you at the public hearing on July 17th at 6:00.
