Re: Idaho Power Company Response to Public Hearing Notice for Application MDA 14-002
Pertaining to the Amendment to Development Agreement for Da Vinci Park Subdivision
Dear City Clerk:
Idaho Power Company (Idaho Power) is in receipt of the City of Meridian Public Hearing Notice for the
above-referenced application. Idaho Power does maintain developed and planned facilities on the subject
property and retains an easement on the north-east side of the subject property, adjacent to Locust Grove
Road.
An 8' X 16' vault is located underground within the easement area and includes power lines extending
from Idaho Power's Locust Grove Substation to the east as well as conduits for two (2) additional power
lines to be added in 2015, which will extend west on McMillan Road and north on Locust Grove Road. A
new switch will be installed on the vault when these new power lines are added. Existing conduits extend
north from the vault through the McMillan Road and Locust Grove Road intersection and south to Idaho
Power facilities and connections between the underground and overhead power lines. Idaho Power
reserves all rights for ingress and egress to all Idaho Power overhead and underground facilities
developed on the subject property, including the northeast corner where the underground conduits extend
to the north.
The existing overhead line on the subject property will remain in the road right of way unless the
development of the Da Vinci Park Subdivision will necessitate relocation of this overhead line. In such
event, the developer will be responsible for any costs related to the overhead line relocation.
Recognition of the existing Idaho Power easement and facilities, as well as rights for ingress_and egress to
