RECOMMENDATION TO CITY
COUNCIL
The property is approximately .85 acre in size and is located at 12?5 Main Street,
Meridian. The property is designated as Old Town in the Comprehensive Plan.
2. The owner of record of the subject property is Lyml Hamilton, 1225 N. Main
Street, Meridian.
3. Applicant is Roy Strickland, 2716 Pine Flats, Meridian.
4. The subject property is currently zoned R-I S and has an existing house on the
property.
5. The Applicant requests the property be zoned as O-T (Old Town).
6. The subject property is bordered to the north by an existing house, zoned R-15,
and a gift shop, zoned C-C, to the south by an existing residence, zoned R-15, and
a karate studio, zoned C-C, to the east by the Meridian Post Office, zoned R-l5,
and to the wesC by an existing residence, zoned R-4, an,d Allstate Insurance, zoned
L-O.
7. The property which is the subject of this application is within the Area of Impact
of the City of Meridian.
8. The entire parcel of property is included within the Meridian Urban Service
Planning Area as defined in the Meridian Comprehensive Plan.
9. The Applicant proposes to develop the subject property as a multi-tenant
medical/office building.
10. The Applicant requests zoning ofthe subject real property as O-T (Old Town)
which is consistent with the Meridian Comprehensive Plan Future Land Use Map
which designates the subject property as Old Town.
11. There are no significant or scenic features of major importance that affect the
consideration of this application.

RECOMMENDATION
The Meridian Planning and Zoning Commission hereby recommends fo the City
Council of the City of Meridian that they approve the requested Annexation u~d Zoning
as requested by the applicant far the property described in the application, subject to the
following:
A. Adopt the Recommendations of the Meridian Planning & Zoning Department as
follows:

1. The legal description submitted with the application is accurate and meets
the requirements of the City ofMeiidian and State Tax Commission.
The subject property is within the Urban Services Planning Area.
