Brad -----Original Message----- From: Bill Musser [mailto:musserb@meridiancity.org] Sent: Thursday, January 08, 2004 4:43 PM To: Brad Hawkins-Clark Subject: Brad, Regarding Saguaro Canyon Estates subdivision, I have reviewed the transmittals and also spoke with Dave McKinnon on 1/7104. The only issue I had with the proposal was the single point of entrance for a project this size. Dave McKinnon told me that Dep. Chief Silva had similar concerns when he reviewed the plans for the fire department. Dave assured me that a secondary access was being pursued north of Joshua Tree Street. He advised that a roadway would have to be constructed over the sewer that was to extend down along the north slough to Joshua Tree Street from the area of the Boyack property. Dave also advised that only the first phase would be worked on at this point (up to Joshua Tree) and that prior to the start of the next phase north of Joshua Tree Street a second access point would be completed. He stated it would come off Meridian Rd. into the development. I advised him I did not have a problem with the project if that was the plan and intention of the developers - as a second access would be needed. I also advised that if the fire department approved of the plan with the second access their approval would be sufficient for the police department. I hope this helps you with your comments and recommendations. If you should need additional please contact me. Bill Wm. (Bill) Musser Chief of Police Meridian Police Department 1401 E. Watertower Ln.
