Re: Spurwing Way Exchange
Dear Mr. Parsons:
On behalf of The Club at Spurwing, LLC, we are requesting that the existing N. Spurwing Way
be vacated and exchanged for a new location that aligns with N. Long Lake Way. The Club at
Spurwing, LLC currently holds an interest in the property adjacent to the existing N. Spurwing
Way and owns the property which will be used to construct the new N. Spurwing Way.
The existing N. Spurwing Way will be converted to a private street. The street will be closed at
its intersection with Chinden Boulevard. It will be gated near the intersection of Penncross Way
and the existing N. Spurwing Way, and a hammerhead turnaround will be built to accommodate
emergency vehicles. Also, all existing utility easements will remain.
When the Spurwing Challenge preliminary plat was approved by the Meridian City Council,
modifications to the existing N. Spurwing Way were included as part of the approval.
Specifically, the street was to be modified to allow only right turns both in and out of the street.
However ITD, prefers the new location for the roadway and that the existing street be closed.
