Regular Meeting of the Meridian City Council called to order at 7:30 p.rt.
by Mayor Grant Kingsford:
Members Present: Bill Brewer; Ron Tolsma; Bert Myers; Bob Giesler:
Others Present: Bruce Stuart; Earl Ward; Todd Godfrey; Harold Rigenhagen;

The minutes of previous meeting held March 18, 1985 were approved as
written:
Item #l: Pre-termination hearing water/sewer/trash deliquencies:
Mayor Kingsford, This is to inform you, if you choose to, you have the
right to a pre-termination hearing, at 7:30 p.m. April l, 1985 before
the Mayor and Council, to appear in person to be judged on facts and
defend the claim made by the City that your water/sewer/trash bill is
deliquent. You may retain counsel. This service will be discontinued
April 9, 1985 unless payment is received in full.
Is there anyone present who wishes a pre-termination hearing? There was
no response.
Mayor Kingsford, due to their failure to pay their water bill or present
any valid reason why the bill has not been paid; their water shall be
turned off on April 9, 1985. In order to have their water turned back
on, there will be a additional fee of $10.00. The~r_ are hereby inform-
ed that they may appeal or have the decision of the City reviewed by
the Fourth Judicial District Court, pursuant to Idaho Code. Even though
they appeal, the water will be shut off.
The Motion was made by Myers and seconded by Tolsma to approve the turn
off list.
Motion Carried: All Yea:
Mayor Kingsford, the total amount of the deliquencies is $4,390.15:

The Motion was made by Myers and seconded by Brewer to approve the bills:

Item #3: Certificates for Wastewater Treatment Plant Employees:
Councilman Myers, as Waste~aater~'Commissioner I wish to recognize and
present Certificates of Certi~ication to the following Employees whom
have recently passed the test for Certification .

Mr. Gerald Randolph and Mr. Ronald Gearhart who have completed their
Wasterwater Grade I Certification:
Mr. Todd Godfrey and Mr. Harold Rigenhagen who have completed their
Wasterwater Grade II Certification.
Mayor Kingsford, in my absence last week and with Councilman Brewer
being unavailable it was necessary to have Councilman Tolama sign the
Revolving Fund Grant Application, we need a motion for the record auth-
orizing this signing.
The Motion was made by Myers and seconded by Brewer authorizing Council-
man Tolsma to sign the application for a Revolving Fund Grant in the
absence of Mayor Kingsford and Councilman Brewer:
Motion Carried: Brewer, Yea; Myers, Yea; Giesler, Yea: Councilman
Tolsma did not vote.
Mayor Kingsford, I need to appoint two members to the Air Quality Board
and at this time Mr. Tolsma would you serve on this Board?
Councilman Tolsma, yes I will.
Mayor Kingsford, I will appoint the other member at a later date.
Department Reports:
Chief Bowers announced that the recent cherry pie auction held by the
Cherry Plaza Merchants the funds received were donated to the Burn-Out
Fund in the amount of $767.01 and he publically wanted to thank them
for this donation.
Gary Smith, City Engineer, I would like to report that we have started
on the repair of the sewer line between West First and West Second and
have the repairs completed with the exception of one area where the
line has a low spot. I would publically like to commend the residents
for their cooperation, they were extremely cooperative, I did not have
any problems with them in telling them what we were going to do and
any objections where yards were going to be torn up.
Being no further business to come before the Council the Motion was
made by Myers and seconded by Tolsma to adjourn_,.at 7:40 p.m.:
