HomeMy WebLinkAbout12-861 Appointing Cavener to MDCCITY OF MERIDIAN RESOLUTION NO. ~ 2' r ~ ~ I BY THE CITY COUNCIL: BIRD, HOAGLUN, ROUNTREE, ZAREMBA A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MERIDIAN APPOINTING LUKE CAVENER TO SEAT 3 OF THE MERIDIAN DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the Meridian Development Corporation has been established by actions of the City Council of the City of Meridian pursuant to the Idaho State Code as the Redevelopment Agency for the City of Meridian; and WHEREAS, that action further established its members and terms of their appointments; and WHEREAS, Luke Cavener may be appointed to Seat 3, effective September 1, 2012, for a term to expire August 31, 2015; WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Meridian deems it to be in the best interest of the citizens of the City of Meridian to approve the appointment of Board Member Luke Cavener to Seat 3 as recommended by Mayor De Weerd and described herein; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MERIDIAN CITY, IDAHO: Section 1. That, Luke Cavener shall be appointed to Seat 3 of the Meridian Development Corporation effective September 1, 2012, which term shall expire August 31, 2015. Section 2.
