HomeMy WebLinkAboutJim Gratiot for Electrical Inspectionr, AGREEMENT OF SERVICES THIS AGREEMENT, made the 1st day of October, 1993, between the City of Meridian, an Idaho municipal corporation, and JIM GRATIOT, a licensed Electrical Inspector, Eagle, Idaho. The City of Meridian, a municipal corporation duly organized and existing under the general municipal laws of the State of Idaho, desires to retain the services of a Electrical Inspector to serve the City of Meridian. The City of Meridian has adopted the National Electrical Code published by the National Fire Protection Association for regulating the installation of electrical in all building or structures in the City. The code provides for issuance of permits and collection of fees, therefore; and each and all of the regulation, provisions, conditions and terms of such National Electrical Code, and the National Electrical Code Standards have been made a part of Title 7 of the Revised and Compiled Ordinances of the City of Meridian. The Electrical Inspector shall enforce all code regulations as specified in the aforementioned codes and any City Ordinance as they pertain to electrical matters. For and in consideration of the mutual promises contained herein, the parties agree as follows: 1. Jim Gratiot, 747 Ranch Drive, Eagle, Idaho shall be appointed Electrical Inspector for the City of Meridian, Idaho; 2. The fee payable by the City of Meridian, Idaho, to Jim Gratiot, shall be according to the value placed on the electrical permit, and based upon the following pay schedule: A. 50% of the permit fees for the first $40,000 in permit fees collected annually. B. 40% of the permit fees between $40,000 to $60,000 in permit fees collected annually. C. 30% of the permit fees between $60,000 to $80,000 in permit fees collected annually. D. 200 of the permit fees over $80,000 in permit fees collected annually. 2 The Electrical Inspector is an independent contractor and not an employee of the City of Meridian and shall be responsible for all insurances, workman's compensation and taxes. The term of this agreement shall be one year commencing on October 1, 1993 upon appointment of the Electrical Inspector by Council, and shall continue from year to year until terminated as provided hereinafter. This agreement may be terminated by either party upon the giving of at least thirty (30) days notice of termination to the other party. Termination may be made without cause. APPROVED: GRANT P.
