Irrigation Design August 1, 2011 Mr. Bill Parsons Associate City Planner City of Meridian, Planning & Zoning 33 East Broadway Meridian, Idaho 83642 RE: Meridian Joint School No. 2 District Service Center Access — CZC-11-030 Mr. Parsons, The Meridian School District requests the opportunity to construct a new vehicle approach from the northwest corner of the existing parking lot at 1303 East Central Drive to the right-of-way. This new access point will alleviate on site vehicle congestion and provide a safer environment for the students. East Central Drive is a collector street and the number of access points is thereby limited. The subject property is abutted by the state police property to the north, a city park to the west, and private residence to the east. The state police property currently only provides maintenance access points to Central Drive and does not contribute a high volume of traffic which might otherwise be realized along this stretch of roadway. Please consider the addition of this approach as it will not impede the traffic along East Central Drive, but it will provide a safer more efficient flow of traffic on site. Thank you, Breckon Land Design, Inc.
