Please consider this application for annexation of .84 acres of real property into the City of
Meridian. The property is contiguous to the current Meridian City limits and included in the
City's comprehensive plan.
The purpose of the annexation is to provide the property owner with city services which are
necessitated by the City's water reuse infrastructure project. Specifically, the reuse water main is
planned to be installed along the owner's property fronting Ten Mile Road. The presence of the
owner's domestic well is too close to the main to achieve the necessary separation required the
Department of Environmental Quality thus necessitating the need to provide City water to the
property. Consistent with city policy, properties requesting or receiving city services must obtain
both sewer and water.
Since the City's actions necessitate the requirement for city services, the City is the applicant for
the annexation. Staff believes that the annexation of the subject real property is necessary to
promote the public interest

FOR THE
CITY OF MERIDIAN
1955 NORTH TEN MILE PARCEL
A parcel located in the SE 1/4 of the SE % of Section 3, Township 3 North, Range 1 West, Boise
Meridian, Ada County, Idaho, more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at an aluminum cap monument marking the northeasterly corner of said SE V of
the SE 1/4 from which a brass cap monument marking the southeasterly corner of said SE % of the
SE % bears S 0°18'56" W a distance of 1321.44 feet;
Thence S 0°18'56" W along the easterly boundary of said SE '/4 of the SE V a distance of 26.07
feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING;
Thence continuing S 0118'56" W a distance of 170.05 feet to a point marking the extension of
the boundary of CHERRY LANE VILLAGE NO. 3 SUBDIVISION as shown in Book 58 of Plats
at Pages 5473 and 5474 in the office of the Recorder, Ada County, Idaho;
