A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PUBLICATION OF AN EST7S7ATE OF EXPENSES
FOR ALL PURPOSES FOR THE CITY OF MERIDIAN, ADA COUNTY, IDAHO,
FOR THE FISCAL YE11R BEGINNING THE FIRST DAY OF J~fNUARY, 1862
AND ENDING THE 31ST DAY OF DECEPLBER, 1862, AND GIVING NOTICE
OF PIIBLIC HEARING PRIOR T0. PASSAGE OF THL+' ANNUAL APPROPRIATION
BILL.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MERIDIAN, ADA COUNTY, IDAHO:-
Section 1. That the following classified. estimate of the
probable amount of money necessary to be raised for al1'purposes.
in the City of Meridian, Ada County, Idaho,-for the fiscal year
beginning the first day of January, 1862 and ending the 31st day
of December, 1g62, be published in the Meridian News-Times, a
weekly nezrspaper published in~the City of Meridian, for two publi-
cations beginning with the issue of January 11th, 1862 and that

required to raise said sum be published therewith.
Section 2. That a statement of the entire revenue of the
City of Meridian for the previous fiscal year is as follows:-

Sundry Sources--------------------------------- 36,817.88
Water Warks----------------------------------- 27980.28
Total----------$108,102.30
Section .3. That the probable amount necessary for all pur-
poses for the City of Meridian for the said fiscal year ending
December 31, 1g62 is as follows:-
Salaries---------------------------------------$ 29,180.00
Miscellaneous & Reserve________________________ 16,000.00
Water works Maintenance------------------------ 1¢,100.00
Power and Pumping------------------------------ 3,100.00
Sewer Maintenance------------------------------ 5,500.00
City Park-=------------------------------------ 2,000.00
Street Maintenance----------------------------- 17,187.00
Street 'Lights---------------------------------- 4,000.00
Street biling---------------------------------- 2,q.00.00
Fire. Department-------------------------------- 3,000.00
Library---------------------------------------- 1.394.00

Total----------$100,161.00
Section 4. That the assessed valuation of the said,, City of
Meridian for the year 1862 is approximately the sum of $1,530,887.00.
Section 5. Notice is hereby given that the estimated expenses
and appropriations therefor as herein set forth will require a levy
for general reserve and municipal purposes for the City of Meridian
of not to exceed 20 mills on the dollar and in compliance with
`~~ Section 50-1102, Idaho Code, the Mayor and City Council will hold
_ a public hearing on February 5, 1862 at 8:00 PM., at the City Hall
in the said City of Meridian, Ada County, Idaho, at which time any
person interested may appear and protest such proposed estimate and
levy prior to passage of an annual appropriation bill. ~
Passed by the City Council and approved by the Mayor of the
City of rleridian, this eighth day of J€~nuary, 1862.
