NOTICE OF HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to the Ordinances of the City of Meridian
and the Laws of the State of Idaho, that the City Council of the City of Meridian will hold
a public hearing at the Meridian City Halt, 33 East Idaho Street, Meridian, Idaho, at the
hour of 7:30 p.m., on September 16, 1997, for the purpose of reviewing and
considering the Application of Jerry Cobbler requesting a transfer of the existing
Conditional Use Permit to Muhammad Sabiha Ali for land located in Lot 2, Block 1 of
Meridian Place Subdivision, Boise Meridian, Ada County, Idaho, and which property is
generally located at 1155 E. Chateau. The Application requests a transfer of the
existing Conditional Use Permit for the operation of a day care not to exceed 25
children.
A more particular legal description of the above property is on file in the City
Clerk's office at Meridian City Hall, 33 East Idaho Street, and is available for inspection
during regular business hours.
A copy of the Application is available upon request. Any and all interested
persons shall be heard at said public hearing and the public is welcome and invited to
submit testimony.

SUBJECT: Transfer of Conditional Use Permit for a Child Care Center at 1155 East Chateau
from Jerry O. Cobler to Muhammad Sabiha Ali
All requirements of the original conditional use permit remain in effect. Following are comments
to be considered during your review of this transfer:
Provide copy of daycare license with evidence of criminal background check from Idaho
Department of Health & Welfare. Operators' licenses shall be available on the premises at
all times for inspection.
2. Provide Social Security Numbers of owner and operators for this facility.
Screening of adjacent residential properties is to be provided through landscaping/slats in
fencing.
4. No unpaved areas are to be used for parking.
This Conditional Use Permit shall be subject to annual review.
6. Any proposed signage is subject to plan review. All signage requires a sign permit. A-
frame and other temporary signage/banners will not be permitted.
7. All trash and/or garbage collection areas shall be enclosed on at least three (3) sides by a
solid wall or fence of at least four feet (4') in height or within an enclosed building or
structure. Adequate vehicular access to and from such area or areas for collection of trash
or garbage as determined by the Administrator shall be provided.
8. Sanitary sewer and water to this facility would be via existing service lines. Assessments for
sewer and water service will be reviewed to see if additional load would justify an adjustment.
The new operator will be required to enter into an Assessment Agreement with the City of
Meridian. The use will be considered a commercial use for billing purposes.
9. The child care center shall not adversely impact surrounding properties due to children's
noise, traffic and other activities.
