Dear City of Meridian,
This letter is in reference to our property on 503 W. Broadway. It is a
rental right now and has been since 2005 when we bought it. We have taken
great strides to redo the exterior and make it look as good as we could with
the cosmetic alterations. Our main dwelling is a rental home currently
without a garage and are requesting to add a Contractors Yard out behind
our fence in the rear portion of our property per the included pictures. We
are trying to comply with UDC 11-3C-6 which requires a dual parking space
in an enclosed garage and 2 outside parking stalls which we have per the
pictures and site plan.
We are applying for a conditional use permit to use the rear of our lot
as a holding yard/parking lot for a Contractors yard per the code 11-1 A-1.
We have a fence around the property and have consistently kept up the yard
and have added landscaping to the front and sides to make it more appealing
to our neighborhood. We do have access gates on the East and West side of
our property. We are also applying to reconstruct a garage in the rear of our
property on the West side with a carport on the south side of it. The
materials will be of siding and asphalt shingles with a painted siding to
match our stucco house. We would appreciate your cooperation to allow our
residential usage and are asking for a conditional use of our property to
maintain a Contractor yard behind the fence.

COMMITMENT OF PROPERTY POSTING
Per Unified Development Code (UDC) ll-SA-SD, the applicant for all applications requiring a
public hearing (except for a UDC text amendment, a Comprehensive Plan text amendment
and/or vacations) shall post the subject property not less than ten (10) days prior to the hearing.
The applicant shall post a copy of the public hearing notice of the application(s) on the property
under consideration.
The applicant shall submit proof of property posting in the form of a notarized statement and a
photograph of the posting to the City no later than seven (7) days prior to the public hearing
attesting to where and when the sign(s) were posted. Unless such Certificate is received by the
required date, the hearing will be continued.
The sign(s) shall be removed no later than three (3) days after the end of the public hearing for
which the sign(s) had been posted.

UDC 11-SA-5.
