Subject: Park Road Access from Green Meadows and Meadow Woods
Hello,
My family lives at 12231 W Clover Meadows Dr, Boise, ID 83713, which is the road that connects to
Green Meadows and Meadow Woods. It has been brought to my attention that ACRD has plans to
make our streets an access to the park (90 acre park on Fairview and Eagle) and continue the road
through the park. I DO NOT support these plans.
We just moved into this home March of 2009 and really love the neighborhood the way it is. We
decided to purchase this home because it was a dead end and the traffic onto the street would be at a
minimum. It is bad enough that we found out after we purchased the home that there are plans to widen
Cloverdale. Which come to fmd out would take 25 ft off of our property. We have accepted that as a
possibility but I beg that you hear our concerns regarding the park entrance.
If access is given to go through our neighborhood to go to the park it will endanger the children on our
street and limit them from playing in the neighborhood. It will also increase traffic and take our peace
and quiet away. I also fear that it will welcome crime into our neighborhood. It is well known that theft
is much greater on streets that go through then streets that end in a culdesac.
I would attend the Council Meeting if I did not already have a prior engagement that I am commited to
already. I ask that you please take these important concerns into consideration.
