We, Don and Linda Huffman, reside at 4035 E. Meadow Wood Dr. Meridian. We have lived at this address for over 33 years. We chose, and have continued to live in this neighborhood for the rural atmosphere and openness provided by the land which includes the proposed park. It is our understanding that ACHD will be proposing the extension of Meadow Wood Dr. and Green Meadow Dr. from our subdivision into the park connecting to Red Feather subdivision. We wish to put on record that we are very much against this proposal. The increase of traffic, if ACHD should have their way, will be detrimental to our current way of life. We believe this increase in traffic and all that comes with it will have a negative impact on our property values. This includes the aesthetics of living in the country and safe streets for our families. Currently our streets are narrow without street lights or sidewalks. Safety is a major issue to all residents in our subdivision and a real concern regarding ACHD's proposal. With that said the park's proposal of hammerheads or cul-de-sac's at the end of our streets would be an acceptable solution. The proposal by ACHD to put the roads through into the park is an unacceptable solution to us. Thank you for your consideration. Sincerely, Don and Linda Huffman 3/2/2010
